5 Reasons Why You Might Want a Part-time Side Hustle in Wellness?

I am an R.N. of 40 years and 63 years old. Working the busy acute care floor especially during these times was more than I wanted to do full-time anymore. Been there done that got the T-Shirt and now it is time to slow down!

Working in healthcare is much more than a challenge these days it is downright grueling. The caveat is that I am not ready to sit back and crochet my life away! I still have a heart to serve and help others.

Are you are just starting your family having children and would like to cut back a bit at work, but you are not sure how you could make that happen?

Are you a single parent working more than one job that takes you away from your family?

Does any of these examples resonate with you at all? If so, I encourage you to read on.

I decided to slow down but still work 3 days a week at the hospital in case management and utilization review. Yes, I am now officially a "desk jockey"! I am still able to make a difference for our patients and the hospital so that is what is most important to me.

I wanted to do something to help others but on my own time and on my own schedule and something I could do from anywhere. That is what lead me to starting my wellness business and my other entrepreneurial adventures!

My journey into wellness started with my own health challenges. Many of us spend so much of our energy caring for others we often neglect ourselves. With my success in improving my health (I am still a work in progress) I have developed a passion to help others get at the root cause of health issues and help improve lifestyle habits and see their own positive changes Becoming an affiliate was the best decision I made.

What does a Wellness Business Look Like? It can wear many hats. For example, my sister is a Nurse Practitioner and wanted out of corporate healthcare. She decided to start her Wellness Business, “Now and Zen Health and Wellness”. She is a fitness buff so has taken certification courses in Yoga and High Intensity Interval Training. She offers online classes for both of those fitness types. She is also an affiliate of Well Pro International as I am, and we will get to the benefits of how this may help you as well.

You may want to become a massage therapist or a board-certified patient advocate. The sky is the limit!
